Okay, ladies! Here it is! Here is your ultimate guide to “Summer Reads”. These are books I have recently read, plan to read or am currently reading. Now, I call it my “beach reads” but realistically, its my “I have an hour to myself while the baby naps-reads”, am I right? I just love getting lost in a book! There is something magical in a way the author is able to take you to a different world, far from reality, where you get lost in the plot and invested in the characters! I hope you are blessed to go on vacation this summer! No matter where you are, you are sure to find a book on this list, you will enjoy! I leave genuine reviews and only recommend things I would read, myself.

Big Little Lies
I just finished reading this one and I could not put it down! It entertained both the teacher and mother in me! Drama mixed with murder in a “white picket” town is sure to keep you on your toes! You won’t be disappointed!
The All Souls Trilogy
I am a big fan of book series. I love a good read and get even more excited when the story doesn’t end with the first book. If you like vampires and witches with a tinge of history, you will love this series! This is not another “twilight series type”, don’t be fooled. I could not put these books down! You might as well get the whole set because you are going to want to buy them all!
The Couple Next Door
This book is up next on my list and is sure to be a good one! I love a good thriller with twists and turns that keep you up reading all night because it’s just too good to put down! I can’t wait to dive into this one!
The Husband’s Secret
Author of “Big Little Lies”, this is another one on my Summer reading list! Once I find an author I love, I usually always reach for the next book in their collection! I’ve heard great things about this one!
Into the Water
Author of “The Girl on the Train”, this book has been raved about this Summer! I’m all about a good murder mystery with twist and turns! Hawkins never disappoints!
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
I have already read this book but plan on reading it, again, soon! (It is that good!) The story takes place in Savannah, Georgia. A murder in this old southern town, is sure to stir up controversy. Who did it? You know as well as I do, alliances in the South might as well be sealed in blood, because no one is talking! The colorful characters and romantic charm of this haunted city are so seductive, you would have a hard time believing the story is true. Do yourself a favor and pick this up today! It is a classic in my book!
Yes, Yes, I chose “Notebook”. Go ahead and roll your eyes. I am a sucker for a Nicholas Sparks book and although I’ve read almost all his books, this one will always be my favorite. I have probably read it four times and it never gets old. The Southern classic romance of two people from different worlds mixed with a touch of military is what speaks to my soul. Faced with a choice to choose between two lovers, who will it be? This classic will renew your hope in true love!
How to Be a Good Wife
The title itself is enough to make you laugh! No, its not a manual on how to be a perfect wife. Marta has only known life with her husband, Hector. Once her son moves off to college, she begins to have strange visions. Is she going crazy, or is what she’s imagining have truth? I can’t wait to start this book! The eeriness and mystery have me so excited, already!
Grace, Not Perfection
As a mom, we feel constantly pulled in so many directions. We try to be a “Super Mom”, only to find ourselves exhausted and disappointed. This is an inspirational book that ties in faith to remind us to give ourselves grace. We are not perfect, nor should we aspire to be. Sometimes we need a reminder to focus on what’s important and embrace simplicity. This book will remind you of just, that!
A Study in Charlotte
Yes, another beginning of a great trilogy! The descendants of Sherlock Homes and John Watson are brought together (not by choice) to solve a mysterious murder at a boarding school. Is anyone safe? Time will tell!
